History

About the Department :-Dhupguri Girls’ College is established in the year 2013 initiated by the local enthusiastic people.  The College had earlier started its journey at a temporary venue at Dhupguri High School Chatra Abasan before shifting to the present venue near Dhupguri – Falakata Road .The present campus of the college began its journey on 16 September, 2016.In 2013 History was approved by North Bengal University as a BA program course(1+1+1) and later in 2018 CBCS Honours course was approved. Our Central Library has good number of History books for the benefits of the students in both Honours and General course. Teachers cooperate with the students in guiding and counseling  them through Mentor-Mentee programme meant for students who need extra guidance in the subject matter. The department organizes student centric seminars, invited lectures, historical excursion, poster exhibition and competition, museum visit, wall  magazine ,monthly test etc to make learning more interesting and dynamic.
